The birth of Internet as if, it becomes a media which manifest global society concept. By email utility, a user can send out mail to everywhere throughout this world very fast, much faster   than conventional system  (by post mail). By using HTML (Hypertext Mark up Language), as a standard language to create web page, integrated with other support languages, such as CGI (Common Gateway Interface) or Java and Java script, then Web view in browser becomes more alive and more interesting. As example, presenting of graphic and text animation effects, also interactive web page. In the other hand, through Internet it is possible too in processing of file transfer (by using FTP) and chatting.

The numerous of those Internet utilities just can be used afterwards a user is registering his computer to ISP (Internet Service Provider). Usually that computer is not stand alone, but it's connected to the others. So that all these computers, beside they can communicate each other (named Intranet), also can communicate to Internet. If the computer that is connected to Internet is rented, this computer network is called as Cyber Cafe.

There are a lot of media that can be used to connect a computer to Internet. There is Ethernet cable as which in LAN, Radio microwave that has high rate, telephone line that is used to dial-up to an ISP, or packet free pulse radio. In this final project, there'll be described about using of telephone line to making dial-up to ISP.     

Anyway, hardware that should be prepared is a computer that has function as a gateway and a modem. And the software that is used is Linux operating system.
